We had a blast exploring the beautiful city of Schwerin with its cool places like the Mecklenburg State Theatre and the jaw-dropping Schwerin Castle. Plus, there were tons of awesome restaurants and shops just a few minutes away. We even rented bikes and went on a super romantic walk in the most stunning surroundings. And if you're into adventure, you'll love the fishing and motor boating options at the hotel. We also enjoyed cycling and hiking in the area. And guess what? We got to try kayaking, windsurfing, and sailing too! It was like a dream come true for all the adrenaline junkies out there!

Alright, if we had to nitpick, we'd say that being a group of young, party-loving people, we could have used a bit more excitement in terms of nightlife. It would have been awesome if the hotel had some kind of party vibes or organized events for us young folks.

Beautiful Art Nouveau building from the 19th century, located near the picturesque Pfaffenteich lake and historic main railway station. The wooden floor and cosy sitting area exude charm. The peaceful garden offers respite from everyday life. The rich breakfast buffet with homemade dishes and regional produce is a delightful start to the day. The carefully furnished suites make you feel at home. The hotel is conveniently situated near the Mecklenburg State Theatre, Schwerin Castle, and other attractions, just a few minutes away by bike or foot. The rooms feature high ceilings, free WiFi, minibars, and more. Adventurous travelers will enjoy fishing and motor boating activities nearby.

The Avalon Hotel had a charming and cozy atmosphere that I truly appreciated. The decoration throughout the hotel was tastefully done, with beautiful artwork and furnishings that added a touch of elegance. As a senior woman, I particularly liked how easily accessible the hotel was. The corridors and common areas were well maintained and free from obstacles, making it easy for me to navigate with my walking cane. I also found the seating areas to be comfortable and ergonomically designed, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

I would have asked for better lighting in the hallways. As a senior woman, I sometimes struggled to see clearly in dimly lit areas.

Convenient location near train/bus station and waterside promenade. Friendly staff with a no-fuss approach. Spacious and clean shared bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Value for the price. Clean and cozy rooms. Adorable interior design. Great view of the lake. Smooth check-in process. Nice breakfast options.
